Time to saddle up

Waiting with Buddy Hughes for our turn

Elma sporting her new "bling"

Entering #1 "the Noodle Boogie" Looks easy....

But a big foot makes the noodles bounce and scoot.

#7 "Altoona Lake"

exiting altoona lake

#8 "Ditch Witch was Here" This was a little tough. Deep loose sand in the bottom.
And when you get down there those flags were flapping at eye level.

#9 "Snap, Crackle Pop" Sheets of bubble wrap, quite exciting underfoot. Makes your horse get happy feet!

#11 "Pick Up Sticks" just walk over the logs, a timed obstacle

#13 "Once Upon a Mattress" Elma likes the mattress obstacle, you can tell by looking at her too.

#14 "Pie in Your Eye" Strings of pie plates blowing sideways in the gale force wind!
Fortunately Elma recognized them as wild runaway pie plates and danced on between the strings!
The judges raved about what a good horse she was at that obstacle.

#15 "Ring Around the Cones" Looks easy, doesn't it? That was the difficult one, the little cone.
Elma was very helpful, sidepassing over so we were positioned to drop the ring on target.
I heard the judge say, "good horse".
Some horses were eliminated when the judge hands you the rings, if the horse backs away from them.

Another water obstacle.

Whew!
