    Dr Peggy Fleming is the owner and operator of Florida Acupuncture Center and is both a veterinarian and licensed acupuncturist for people. Graduating from the University of Florida in 1981 as a doctor of Veterinary Medicine, she developed a specialty practice in Equine Sports Medicine.

    Over the years she has discovered that western medicine was limited in its ability to sustain a cure and in 1988 embarked on a journey of advancement in the field of alternative medicine. In 1988 she became a certified in veterinary acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, in 1990 became certified in veterinary chiropractic with the American Chiropractic Society and in 1992 became one of the first certified veterinary homeopaths in the U.S. with the American Academy of Veterinary





She continued her journey in the field of human medicine by attending a 3 year school of Five Element Acupuncture with J.R. Worsely, obtaining a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in 2000, She has attended countless courses in human homeopathy, including a 3 year curriculum with the Dynamis School of Homeopathy studying under Jeremy Sherr, and a two-year curriculum with Paul Herscu at the New England School of Homeopathy. She is the author and co-author of several books, including the Atlas of Equine Acupuncture Loci, Veterinary Medicine Ancient Art to Modern Medicine, and Veterinary Complementary and Alternative therapies.
