Lord Teach us to Pray

Part 5

Mt:6:12: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

1. ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOU

Ask God to help you look into your own heart.....Job:34:32: That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

If we are honest in repentance, total cleansing is promised..... ...1Jn:1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Satan often tries to remind us of our past.... Rom:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2. Forgive as Often as you want to be forgiven

You will receive mercy as you give it....Gal 6:7 .....Mat. 6:14 &15

Parable of forgiveness Mat 18: 23-35....Mt:18:35: So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Remember Jesus paid a debt you could never pay... for forgiveness...

.Isa:53:4: Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6: All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Ps:103:8: The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9: He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10: He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11: For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12: As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

3. Maintain a right attitude toward others

Prov:4:23: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Lk:6:35: But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Heb:12:15: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
