Phil:4:6:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Thanksgiving is a national holiday set aside in the United States of America in
remembering to thank God for His bountiful provision in this life.

Webster Dictionary say’s, : Thanksgiving
1
a) the act of giving thanks
b) an expression of this; esp., a formal, often public,
expression of thanks to God in the form of a prayer, etc.
2
a) an annual U.S. holiday observed on the fourth Thursday of November as a day
of giving thanks and feasting:
b) it commemorates the Pilgrims‘ celebration of the good harvest of 1621

Before we make our requests made known to our God; we are to show our thankfulness.
Remember when David was going to give an offering to God, he would not do it without
paying a price.

2 Sam 24:
21: And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
22: And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.
23: All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
24: And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
25: And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

Our Tithes and offering to the local Church where we attend is in direct connection to our
thankfulness to God. It tends to support our minister and the ministry of the Church.
So when we need it, it is there for us and others. There was a time in the Word of God when people quit paying their tithes and their ministers had to go to work thus abandoning the needed ministry of the Word and the house of God.
Neh:13:10:
And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.
Many people get the Idea that Churches are just about money. This is not true. But at the same time Marriages and Children are not just about money yet it takes money to care for our families.
God set up tithing to take care of those who minister and the ministry of the Church. Other offerings are set aside as we are moved by God to give.
How often we come to God asking for His Blessings and Favor but we have not shown our Thankfulness. Many wonder why their not happy and content. Hear the Words of Jesus our Lord, "Mt:6:21: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Do you believe that you will harvest things from God when you do not plant in the local Church, the Storehouse of God? Read Mal:3:8-10.
1 Jn:3:18: My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Thanksgiving is a great national and Christian holiday. I trust God’s richest blessings on all and that this message will help bring even the greatest of blessings into your life. Spiritual Blessings! Physical Blessings! Emotional Blessings! Eternal Blessings!
Can’t wait to see you again in the House of our Lord.
