Pastor Bailey's Weekly Word is ...

War

The first is the series of sermons
on spiritual warfare.

We are at war - Finances

And the dragon was wroth with the woman,
and went to make war with the remnant of her seed,
which keep the commandments of God,
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

( Rev 12:17 )

"2 Cor 4:8 - We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;".

When we struggle with life we ought nought complain, but instead rejoice that there is enough Christian testimony in our life to make the enemy go to war with us. Remember these words , .........

Matt 5:10 - Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matt 5:11 - Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matt 5:12 - Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

The power of God moves on those who learn to rejoice in the Lord.......

Phil 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Neh 8:10 - Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

When we truly trust in our God, we bury worry in its worldly grave.....

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

This is one of the greatest reasons we have financial tests.....
the enemy wants us to worry.....
don't give him the pleasure.......

Prov 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Prov 3:9 - Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

2 Cor 2:11 - Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Mal 3:8 - Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Mal 3:9 - Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Mal 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Mal 3:11 - And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 3:12 - And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Your tithing represents your giving to the Lord personally.

Heb 7:8 - And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Tithing was set aside for those in ministry.....

Heb 7:5 - And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

1 Cor 9:11 - If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

1 Cor 9:12 - If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

1 Cor 9:13 - Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

1 Cor 9:14 - Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

This is a direct reflection of how you would take care of the Lord....

John 13:20 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
