Parents,
Our School Year VPK Program is 540 instructional hours.
The days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:45 – 12:45.
Attendance on Fridays (8:45 – 12:45) is offered for a small fee.
Instructors must have a minimum of a Child Development Associate for the school year program
(now referred to as the Birth to Five Florida Child Care Professional Credential).
Parents or legal guardians only, MUST register their children for the program in person at a VPK Registration
Location. Registration cannot be completed online or by fax or phone, or at a child care facility.
ELIGIBILITY
A child is eligible for VPK for the 2013-2014 School Year VPK or the 2014 Summer VPK program if the child
is four years old on or before September 1, 2013.
• If your child was born between September 2, 2008 - September 1, 2009, they are eligible
for the 2013-2014 School Year VPK Program.
• If your child was born September 2, 2008- September 1, 2009, they are eligible for the 2014
Summer VPK Program if they DID NOT participate in the 2013-2014 VPK School Year Program.
Children may participate in the VPK program once. Once a child is eligible to enter kindergarten,
they are no longer eligible to participate in VPK.
